ATM Card

Redbrand Credit Union offers an ATM (Automated Teller Machine) Card that can be used anywhere the NYCE and/or CIRRUS logo(s) are displayed. There is a Redbrand Credit Union owned machine located at each office in which members enjoy transaction privileges free of charge. You are able to access your savings and checking accounts to withdraw, deposit and even transfer funds at the ATM. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to deposit into most machines not owned by Redbrand.

Your card can be used free of charge for ATM PIN transactions up to 12 times per month. If the 12 free transactions are exceeded, there is a charge of $1 per transaction up to 20 transactions and all transactions exceeding 20 are charged $1.50 per transaction. In the event you do exceed the 12 free transactions, the fee is charged to your savings account on the last day of the current month or first day of the next month. Please note, you will typically be charged a fee by the owner of a machine not owned by Redbrand. They are required to disclose the fee before you are able to accept your transaction with them.

To help protect your card from excessive fraudulent transactions, we have a daily withdrawal limit on the card of $ 300 in a 24 hour period.

If your card is lost or stolen please contact the Credit Union as soon as possible by calling (309) 697-1447. To replace a lost card there is a $5 fee.

VISA Check Card:

The Redbrand Credit Union VISA Check Card will give you fast, convenient access to your funds. The card not only works just like an ATM Card, but it can also be used wherever VISA is accepted! Using your VISA Check Card as a VISA based transaction is an easy way to avoid ATM fees.

Use it just like a credit card (choose credit whenever you have the option) and funds will typically be debited from your account within a day or two. To prevent overspending, most transactions will immediately put through a notice to hold the funds needed to complete the transaction until the transaction is posted to your account. There are a few exceptions to this, however. A common instance is gas stations. If you pay for your gas at the pump, the authorization is put through for $1, $50, $75 or $100. That amount is held until the actual transaction posts to your account.

In addition to the $300 you are able to transact as ATM PIN transactions, you are also able to spend up to $750 for VISA based transactions in a 24 hour period. Unlike PIN based transactions, the Credit Union is able to increase this limit for a short period of time. If you need to raise your limit for special high dollar purchases, please contact the Credit Union.

If you are traveling outside of the United States and plan on using your VISA Check Card we ask that you stop into the Credit Union to pick up an ATM Card. You will have no problems using your VISA Check Card over the VISA network. However, a difference in technologies will prevent the VISA Check Card from working at some ATM machines for cash withdrawal.

On-line Bill Pay:

Free On-Line Bill Pay makes paying your bills fast and convenient. Consolidating all your bills down to one website saves time and you will never need to write out a check and lick a stamp to pay a bill again! To utilize this service you do need to be able to access your account on Home Banking. Click the Bill Pay link on the left to sign-up and access your accounts. In order for Bill Pay to work, you do need to have a Checking Account.

Once you have a bill set up in this system, all you have to do is access your account, choose who you need to pay and how much you want to pay them and that’s it – the bill is paid. You can even set up payments to come out automatically on a certain date each month.

Helpful information when paying bills:

It takes one to two business days (depending on the time that you initiate the payment) for the payment to process. Once the payment is processed, a debit will come out of your account. At the same time the payment comes out of your account, the payment is sent to the payee. If the payee accepts payment electronically, the payment will typically be posted to your account with them in two to three days. If the payment is being sent by paper check, please allow five to ten business days for the payment to post to your account with the payee.

Receive your Redbrand Credit Union statement almost immediately at the beginning of each month! This electronic version of your statement looks just like the real thing; you can even print it off if you needed to. The best part of E-Statements, however, is that they remain available online for two years after the statement date.

We will send you an email letting you know that your E-Statement is available, usually on the first or second day of each month. To view your E-Statement, log-in to your account online and click E-Statement on the left. You can sign up by accessing your account online or by stopping into any Redbrand Credit Union office.

TXT Banking:

Do you TXT? TXT Banking allows you to access your account via TXT phone 24 hours a day. To utilize this service, you need to be able to access your account online. Access your Home Banking account to sign up for TXT Banking.
